This is a guide that I basically took from Jazzfan80’s post and updated it so that other users get clearer instructions with the updated answers/replies from his post. Original post below is by /u/Rhyophilliacįirst of all, I want to thank Jazzfan80, TheEvilLightBulb, Ferrango, LEK09-03, mcKaskie, and any other users who have helped in this thread. The steps outlined below work great! The issues I ran into had to do with interference from another app in this case Skype (thank you to /u/tryth ! I was pretty much able to get everything else to work by following the directions below.
I also did this on a 64-bit WIndows 10 machine so Win10 should not cause any issues. I just wanted to highlight that uninstalling Skype and flushing the DNS cache worked for re-installing or updating the firmware. Hello everyone!!
